PC Galaxy – Return & Warranty Policy

This Return & Warranty Policy applies to PC Galaxy (“PC Galaxy”, “we”, “our”) and all products sold online or in-store within the Republic of South Africa. All policies comply with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
Warranty Policy
- All new devices include a 12-month manufacturer warranty unless otherwise stated.
- PC Galaxy does not offer an in-house warranty; we only facilitate warranty claims with the manufacturer/supplier.
- Warranty approvals or rejections are determined solely by the manufacturer or authorised distributor.
Warranty Exclusions
- Physical damage, liquid damage, misuse, or negligence
- Electrical surges or unstable power
- Software corruption, viruses, or operating system faults
- Consumables such as batteries or cartridges (unless manufacturer covered)
- Damage caused by unapproved repairs or tampering
Software Policy
- No returns, refunds, or warranties on purchased software or licence keys.
- Clients must safeguard all provided software keys, activation details, and login credentials.
- PC Galaxy can assist with reinstallation or relicensing:
- As a paid labour service, or
- Free of charge if approved by management.
- Lost or redeemed keys cannot be replaced unless the software vendor allows it.
Returns & Exchanges (CPA Compliant)
- Returns accepted for defective products within the CPA’s warranty period.
- Unused, unopened items may be returned within 7 days unless otherwise stated.
- All returned items may be inspected before approval.
- Items showing damage, missing parts, or missing packaging may be refused.
Warranty Facilitation
- Devices are sent to the manufacturer or authorised supplier for evaluation.
- Turnaround times vary depending on the supplier or availability of parts.
- PC Galaxy provides updates based on supplier/manufacturer feedback.
Liability
- Clients must back up their data; PC Galaxy is not responsible for data loss.
- PC Galaxy is not liable for delays caused by suppliers or manufacturers.
- PC Galaxy cannot override manufacturer warranty decisions.
Acceptance of Policy
By purchasing from PC Galaxy, the client agrees to the terms in this Return & Warranty Policy.
